I’ve been very interest in essential oils for a while now, but I have held back on going to “classes/parties” simply because I don’t like being around people I don’t know, and I also don’t like having groups of people at my house 😂
I’ve been reading online, which is a worm hole of information as I’m sure you know. I also found a great book and have been picking away at it. I finally took the leap and asked one of my yoga teachers who is a doterra rep to let me know when her next class was.
She answered right away with “this weekend.”
I said I’d be there and then thought about cancelling numerous times for the rest of the week.
I recently found out I have “social anxiety” which I also just thought was called being an introvert.
Turns out I’m not the only person who gets super anxious around groups of people. Constantly worrying I will say something stupid, that I’m dressed weird, or that I will let out a big old fart in the middle of a conversation.
I tend to get “stress tummy” I feel like I’m going to puke or crap my pants anytime I get worried about something (which is all the time)
You will be happy to know that I did neither of these things.
I also didn’t cancel.
I drove to a house I’ve never been to.
I went into a STRANGERS house.
With people I don’t know (other than my yoga instructor)
I hold off on doing a lot of things that I am interested in simply because I know there will be people I don’t know there. If my husband can’t come and be my buffer, then I usually don’t go.
This sounds like such a trivial thing. But guess what, I survived, and even stayed longer then planned because it was such a nice group.
